The Atomic uses the exact same data that is used to calculate the game's physics, ensuring a 1:1 motion correspondence with what you see on the screen and a highly faithful reproduction of what you would feel in real-life, right down to the texture of the road and the revs of your engine. The Atomic's high speed, powerful torque and large movement range can produce a very aggressive ride with a strong feeling of inertia, capable of satisfying even the most die-hard of riders (settings can, of course, be tuned down for those of a nervous disposition!).
The answer lies in JoyRide's patent-protected kinetic-energy transfer technology. For more information and a system comparison please see ForceAssistTM Technology In-Depth.
It's the games themselves that dictate the PC specification needed. The overhead of the data output to the simulator is negligable, so as long as the computer runs the game to your satisfaction, has a USB 2.0 port and Windows XP, Vista or 7 as its operating system, then the Atomic will simulate it.
Currently, no. At this time we have chosen to develop with standard PCs in mind. However, we do plan to extend support to games consoles in the future and will rely on customer demand to steer that development. If you have an opinion, then please do contact us
Currently the Atomic features an audio input for the integrated tactle transducer system and a line output to facilitate the use of your choice of headphones or speakers systems.
